SERVICE: DRY NEEDLING
Dry Needling
Dry needling is a treatment strategy utilized by a physical therapist with a post-graduate certification using thin monofilament needles to treat dysfunctional tissue.
Dry needling involves inserting a thin needle through the skin and into underlying muscle and connective tissues. This technique creates a release, or deactivation, of underlying myofascial trigger points which are known to cause pain and tenderness.
- Dry Needling Is Used To:
- Reduce muscle pain
- Deactivate painful trigger points
- Improve range of motion
- Improve muscle flexibility
- Improve blood flow to the tissue
- Improve muscle performance
- Aid in rehabilitation and recovery
At Athletic Movements dry needling is included in every individualized treatment plan with no additional cost. If muscle pain is limiting your ability to achieve optimal performance, consult with Dr. Zerah about implementing dry needling into your treatment plan.
