FAQs

Athletic Movements is a self-pay, out-of-network physical therapy, performance, and recovery center. All too often in healthcare a patient’s plan of care becomes dictated by the insurance company, regardless of the healthcare discipline. Athletic Movements chooses to remain out-of-network with major insurance companies to avoid this recurring problem in healthcare.

An out-of-network model allows the Physical Therapist to put the patient’s health first. Athletic Movements will provide highly specialized one-on-one care without the concerns of an insurance company dictating the course of treatment. This model also allows the patient to avoid the concern of receiving a medical bill weeks later which happens too often in our current healthcare system. At Athletic Movements the patient and the Physical Therapist agree on terms of the best plan of care, and the patient may pay for their services with cash, check, credit/debit card, and/or HSA card.

Most insurance policies include out of network benefits, where the patient will get reimbursed for a portion or all of their expenses made at an out-of-network provider.

At Athletic Movements you will be provided with undivided attention during your one-on-one comprehensive evaluation AND follow-up treatments.

A prescription or referral is not required to receive services at Athletic Movements. You can call today to make an appointment.
At Athletic Movements every patient is treated with unique and individualized care. During the evaluation process the patient will undergo a full body biomechanics assessment using the Selective Functional Movement Assessment screening tool. Our goal is to identify the root cause of the injury, not just treat the pain that the patient is experiencing. The patient will be prescribed an individual treatment plan to reduce pain, facilitate tissue healing, and to prevent further injury from occurring.
During your comprehensive physical therapy evaluation and follow-up treatments, it is important to wear comfortable clothing that will allow your Physical Therapist to access and treat soft tissue, muscles, and joints. It is important to wear clothing that allows you to feel comfortable exercising and performing sport-specific movements.
Dr. Zerah uses his Titleist Performance Institute Level M2 certification and video technology to screen and evaluate biomechanics faults specific to the golf swing. Dr. Zerah utilizes a step-by-step process to determine the biomechanics deficits that prevent you from achieving the optimal golf swing.
